Accessible Parking
There are accessible parking spaces located throughout downtown Port Hope. These spaces are designated with an accessible parking sign. See our interactive Parking GIS map for accessible parking locations.
If you have an Accessible Parking Permit, you may park in these spaces for free. If there are no accessible parking spaces available, you may park for free in any available space. Please make sure your Accessible Parking Permit is on display so that you don't receive a ticket, and note you can't park in any spaces where parking is forbidden.
Using an accessible parking space
In order to use an accessible parking space, you need to:
- Properly display an Accessible Parking Permit in your vehicle
- Be an individual with a disability or be transporting an individual with a disability
