Municipal Land Use Restrictions Lifted
Residents are advised that the land use restrictions bordering the Ganaraska River will be lifted as of Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Access to municipally owned green spaces, trails and paths along the River will be open to the public for pass-through use only. Please note that all conservation areas north of Molson Street remain closed at this time, per the direction of the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority.
Restrictions to beaches in the Municipality will also be lifted as of Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Individuals will be permitted to use East Beach and West Beach as additional pass-through areas.
The Municipality would like to thank residents for their patience and diligence while these municipal lands were closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
As the land use bans are lifted, residents are reminded that physical distancing measures remain in effect, and individuals must continue to comply with the Provincial guidelines to stay a distance of two metres apart. Additionally, residents must not loiter or gather in any public space. A ban on group gatherings of more than five people is still in effect, by Provincial Order. Residents who do not comply with these regulations may face fines.
