Voting Period for the 2022 Municipal and School Board Election Officially Open
Residents are reminded that the voting period for the 2022 Municipal and School Board election is officially open.
Those who have not received a Voter Instruction Letter can still be added to the Voters’ List. Email the election team or call 905-885-4544 ext. 0
Voting Period
The voting period is open from October 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. until October 24, 2022, until 8:00 p.m.
How to Vote
Voting in the municipal and school board election is conducted online or by phone.
- Each voter requires a Voter Instruction Letter (VIL).
- Included in the VIL is a website address for those who would like to vote online as well as a phone number for those who would like to vote by phone.
- You may also vote in person at a Voter Assistance Centre at Town Hall (56 Queen Street) or the Port Hope Community Hub (5325 County Road 10).
Every eligible voter must have their Personal Identification Number (PIN) to vote. These PINs are unique to each voter and can only be used once. Your PIN is provided in your Voter Instruction Letter.

Election Results
Polls will close at 8:00 p.m. on October 24, 2022. After the results have been tallied and verified, the unofficial results will be announced in-person at the Capitol Theatre and simultaneously posted online on our website.
