With deep sorrow, the Municipality of Port Hope grieves the devastating loss of Port Hope resident Madison Chard, whose disappearance since mid-April has gripped our community. We offer our sincerest condolences to the Chard family, as well as Madison’s friends, coworkers and all those impacted by this loss.
“Our whole community is in mourning as we try to come to terms with this tragic loss” offers Deputy Mayor Les Andrews. “May we support the Chard family and keep them in our thoughts during this difficult time.”
Our thoughts are also with Mark Chard, Madison’s father, who is a valued, longtime volunteer Firefighter in our community. He has been an advocate and a beacon of hope in the search for his daughter.
