Transit Disruptions – September 1, 2021
Residents are advised that CP Rail will undertake significant construction work along the CP tracks, spanning the length of the CP Rail train trestle. This rail work includes a large crew from CP Rail and will impact traffic flow below the CP Rail trestles, from John Street to King Street on August 31 and September 1, 2021.
This work impacts transit Route B and the Cobourg Shuttle on Wednesday, September 1, from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Robertson Street will be closed from Queen Street to Mill Street and all access to the intersection of Mill Street South and Peter Street will be closed.
Route B impact
Beginning at 11:00 a.m. the bus will travel on the regular route to the Food Basics stop. Then, the bus will be rerouting back up Hope Street South to Ward Street, and from Ward Street to Mill Street and back to the Town Hall stop. We will not be using Peter Street or accessing the East Beach for the afternoon, therefore the stops at the Beer Store, Peter/King Streets and the Beach will not be in service.
