Residents are reminded that first installment of final tax is due Monday, June 29, 2020; however, penalty for non-payment of the first final tax installment and any subsequent payments will not be applied until the first of the month following the lifting of the Provincial Emergency Declaration.
Community members on a pre-authorized payment plan who require a deferred payment can email tax@porthope.ca and will not be charged interest on the deferred payments for 2020.
Payments can be made at your bank, by telephone or online banking through your bank, by mailing a cheque to 56 Queen Street Port Hope, Ontario L1A 3Z9, or by dropping off a cheque in the drop-box mail slot on the front door of the Town Hall building, located at 56 Queen Street.
Failure to receive a Tax Notice does not eliminate the responsibility for the payment of taxes and penalty. Please ensure the Finance Department has your correct mailing address.
For your 2021 income tax purposes please keep the top half of your 2020 final property tax bill.
