A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
At this meeting, Council will proceed into a closed session, in accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O., c.25 for the purpose of a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board – Section 239(2)(c) and for the purpose of education or training of the members of Council – Section 239(3).
The purpose of the closed session is to consider a matter regarding surplus municipal lands on Shuter Street. Additionally, the meeting will include a training and education opportunity for members of Council regarding the PHAI Cleanup Criteria. Council will receive a presentation from representatives of CNL. Regarding this matter, and in accordance with the Municipal Act, Council will not be taking any action or providing any direction as part of this closed session.
