Residents are advised that a Special Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
The purpose of the meeting is for Council to proceed into a closed session, in accordance with the Municipal Act section 239(h), which identifies that meetings may be closed to the public to consider information explicitly supplied in confidence to the Municipality by another level of Government.
At the meeting, Council will be provided information supplied in confidence from representatives of the Province including MPP Piccini related to 65 Ward Street.
Council will not be making any decisions regarding this matter in closed session or during the open portion of the meeting. The purpose of the meeting is solely for the confidential information to be received and discussed.
