Residents are advised that a Special Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, beginning at 5:30 p.m. via web conference.
Council will move into a closed session in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O., c.25 in order to address matters pertaining to a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land for municipal or local board - Section 239 (2)(c) along with the receiving of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose - Section 239 (2)(f) - (OPG Land Acquisition).
Council members will be receiving legal advice on the OPG land acquisition and the surrounding discussion will be closed to the members of the public. In accordance with the Closed Meeting Policy, the Mayor will identify the outcome of the closed session publicly.
