A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope for the purpose of swearing-in a new member of Council representing Ward 2 (Rural Area).
At this meeting, the Municipal Clerk will administer the Oath of Allegiance and Declaration of Office to Mr. Darrell Toms, who was declared the winner of the June 6 By-election to fill the vacant Ward 2 position on Council.
The Swearing-in Ceremony was originally scheduled for June 18, 2024, during the regular Council Meeting. However, due to unforeseen and inadvertent scheduling conflicts for Council Members, the date of this meeting has been changed.
The session is open to the public and the meeting will also be live streamed on the YouTube channel.
