Site Plan Application - 8203 County Road 10
As part of the Municipality’s ongoing efforts to enhance communication with the community, we are pleased to provide notice of a Site Plan Application from Sean Galbraith of LandSquared for Shared Tower Corp., for the lands owned by Jamie and Kristin Ferguson, municipally known as 8203 County Road 10. A sign has also been posted within the lands subject to the proposed development.
The purpose of this application is to allow for the construction of a 65.0 metre self-supporting tapered lattice tower, situated within a proposed 15m x 15m fenced compound approximately 175-metres east of County Road 10.
Please be advised that the approval of this site and its design is under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Government of Canada through Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada (ISED). As a federal undertaking, Shared Tower Corp. is required by ISED to consult with land use authorities in siting antenna locations. While the provisions of the Planning Act and other municipal By-laws and regulations do not apply to federal undertakings, proponents are required to follow established and documented wireless protocols or processes set forth by land-use authorities. In the Municipality of Port Hope, telecommunications towers are subject to site plan control as per the Municipal Official Plan.
A staff report and the draft Site Plan Agreement will be considered at a future Committee of the Whole meeting. Additional information relating to the Site Plan Approval (File No. SP03-2020) can be made available to you.
