Santa Claus Parade Road Closure and Parking Restrictions
The traditional Santa Claus Parade is returning to Port Hope on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. with COVID-19 protocols in effect.
Road closures
Residents are advised of the following road closures from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 to accommodate the annual Santa Claus Parade.
- Ridout Street and Walton Street from Toronto Road to Mill Street
- Queen street from Walton Street to Robertson Street
- Augusta Street from Queen Street to Elias Street
Parking restrictions
Residents, business owners, customers and visitors are asked to keep the following parade and staging areas clear of vehicles from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. to allow for spectator viewing.
- Walton Street (from Pine Street to Queen Street)
- Queen Street (from Walton Street to Robertson Street)
- Augusta Street (Queen Street to Elias Street)
- Town Hall parking lot – beginning at 8:00 a.m. on November 27. This new closure has been added to accommodate safe dismount of parade participants.
Please note: Vehicles along the above route, during the designated times, will be removed.
Transit reroute
Residents are advised that Transit Route A is being rerouted during this closure. Visit the Transit page for a detailed look at the transit reroute map.
Residents are encouraged to join us along the parade route. COVID-19 guidelines will be in effect.
