Port Hope to Host Peterborough Petes Preseason Exhibition Game Against the Oshawa Generals
Port Hope’s Jack Burger Sports Complex (JBSC) will host an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) exhibition game on September 4, 2023. The Peterborough Petes will be taking on long-time rival the Oshawa Generals.
This game will be hosted in partnership with the Town Park Recreation Centre (TPRC) Expansion Fundraising Committee and the Port Hope Panthers. Attendees can expect a 50/50 draw, Peterborough Petes jersey raffle, silent auction table, and more.
“We look forward to seeing hockey fans of all ages fill our facility to watch some of the province’s best junior hockey players,” notes Mayor Hankivsky. “Hosting this event in partnership with the TPRC Expansion Fundraising Committee and the Port Hope Panthers is an honour. Athletics, specifically hockey is important in our community, and this is a great opportunity to showcase our facility and two community groups in Port Hope.”
Tickets are on sale now for $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online, by calling 905-885-2474, or in-person at the JBSC (60 Highland Drive).
