Port Hope Police Service Deputy Chief Announces Retirement
(October 23, 2020) The Port Hope Police Services Board (PHPSB) has received from Deputy Chief Darren Strongman notice of his intention to retire at the end of 2020.
Deputy Chief Strongman will, on his retirement, have completed more than 34 years of police service, the past 31 years with the Port Hope Police Service. He was appointed an Inspector in 2015 and Deputy Chief in 2016.
He has received many accolades throughout his career for his total commitment to policing and for his unwavering support of and dedication to the Port Hope Police Service and the community of Port Hope.
The PHPSB acknowledges with sincere appreciation Deputy Chief Strongman’s many years of outstanding service and wishes for him a long and healthy retirement. He will certainly be missed.
