Join us at Town Hall on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. for a special Pan-African flag-raising ceremony in honour of Black History Month. We invite community members and the media to attend this meaningful event. The Mayor, along with Members of Council and staff, will take part in the ceremony, and the Mayor will deliver brief remarks.
Throughout February, the Pan-African flag will fly at Town Hall, symbolizing unity, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward equity and justice. It serves as a powerful reminder of the rich contributions of Black communities and our shared responsibility to honour their history, culture, and heritage. We encourage everyone to join us in recognizing this important occasion.
Please note that the ceremony and remarks will be held outdoors. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
