Notice of Public Meeting - Development Charges

On Tuesday, September 6, 2022 the Council of the Municipality of Port Hope will hold a Public Meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the Municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) By-law and underlying background study. The Public Meeting will take place during the regular Council meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers (56 Queen Street).

All interested parties are invited to attend the meeting and any person in attendance may make representations relating to the proposed D.C. By-law and background study.

In order that sufficient information is made available to the public, the background study, the proposed D.C. By-law and the update study are available online on the municipal website and copies are available by emailing the finance office or calling 905-885-4544. 

Interested persons may express their comments at the Public Meeting or in writing addressed to finance@porthope.ca prior to September 1, 2022, and such written submissions will be placed before Council for the meeting.
