The Corporation of the Municipality of Port Hope has passed an amendment to Development Charges By-law 63-2019. The amendment deletes the expiry of the 2019 Development Charges By-law currently in effect. This Amendment was passed by Council on July 9, 2024 through By-law 43-2024.
The new draft Development Charges Background Study will be updated through an addendum to incorporate recent changes in Provincial Legislation. The update will be posted on the Municipal website, and an additional opportunity to comment will be provided. The Municipality anticipates having a new Development Charges By-law passed before the end of 2024.
