In collaboration with Cameco, we will be conducting a small mechanical dredging operation in the outer harbour on Monday, August 19, 2024.
Purpose of the Dredging:
The dredging operation aims to remove a freshwater intake that is no longer required by Cameco. This will help maintain the functionality and safety of the harbour.
Sediment Placement:
The sediment removed during this process will be placed on the West Beach, near the break wall. We remind residents to please stay off the sediment piles as they are not safe to climb.
