Lane and Sidewalk Closures to Accommodate Restoration Work at 81 Walton Street.

Residents are advised that the contractor and property owner at 81 Walton Street have been granted an extension on the sidewalk and lane closure permit until October 31. The current lane and sidewalk closures will remain until then. Thank you for your patience.

Residents are advised of upcoming sidewalk closures and lane restrictions to accommodate restoration work to the building located at 81 Walton Street. Work will begin on July 24 and will include a sidewalk closure and traffic re-routes to accommodate the construction of scaffolding on Walton Street and John Street. Please be advised of the following impacts:

July 31 to mid-September (approximately):

This closure has been extended to October 31, 2023.

• Walton Street lane closures and sidewalk closures will be removed and returned to normal.
• John Street east sidewalk will remain closed and pedestrian re-route will be in place for the remainder of the project.
• On John Street, barriers will be placed to protect the scaffolding and workers adjacent to 81 Walton Street. This barrier will still allow vehicular access but will still affect roughly 60 metres of parking.

This notice is being provided on behalf of the property owner of 81 Walton Street. Notice of this closure was hand delivered to local residents and businesses last week by the property owner.
