Land Access Restriction Lifted
Residents are advised that the land use restrictions bordering the Ganaraska River will be lifted on Friday, May 7, 2021. Access to municipally owned green spaces, trails, and paths along the River will be open to the public for pass-through use only, as will the municipal boat launch and access to the fish ladder.
Recreation fields and amenities, including the outdoor fitness equipment at Cavan Street Park and the Skate Park remain closed, per the Provincial Government Order.
Please note that conservation areas owned by the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority remain closed until further notice.
The Municipality would like to thank residents for their patience and diligence while these municipal lands were closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
As the land use bans are lifted, residents are reminded that physical distancing measures remain in effect, and individuals must continue to comply with the Provincial guidelines to stay a distance of two metres apart. Additionally, residents must not gather in any public space. A ban on group gatherings of more than five people is still in effect, by Provincial Order.
