King's Field and Culture Plan Engagement
Community engagement is now open on the following two projects:
King’s Field
We are reviewing the parkland at King’s Field (Victoria Street South), along with a review of amenities in other nearby parks. In consultation with staff, a working group of the Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee, and through review of previous community surveys results, we have established a concept plan for this park.
With efforts to maximize use, provide unique opportunities for the neighbourhood, and investment in parks and trees, the concept plan is anticipated to be implemented in the near-, mid- and long-term future.
Review the King’s Field Project Page to learn about the scope of work and let us know in the Quick Poll how you feel about the proposed project by Friday, May 19 at 4:00 p.m.
Collaborating on Culture
In 2012, the Municipality of Port Hope created a plan to help grow and support the many components of our community that contribute to our rich and unique local culture. It’s a lengthy and dense document with plans that span 20 years (2012 to 2032). We are now at the halfway point, and it’s time to look at how we are doing.
We have launched a public survey as part of this Collaborating on Culture initiative. The survey is short, anonymous, and will provide community insight regarding events and programming. We are asking questions to help guide our priorities and to ensure the work we are doing today will matter tomorrow.
Please review all the information on the Collaborating on Culture Project Page and complete the survey by Friday, May 12 at 4:00 p.m.
