Residents are advised that the Heroes Highway Ride and Rally will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The motorcycle procession is anticipated to arrive in Port Hope between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. The public can expect traffic delays as the procession travels down Ontario Street into the Downtown to park. Motorcycles will park on Queen Street, with entertainment, food service and vendors set up in Memorial Park.
Please be advised of the following impacts to accommodate the event:
Road closures
The following road closures will be in place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Queen Street (from Walton Street to Robertson Street)
- Augusta Street (from Queen Street to Elias Street)
Transit impacts
The public transit service central hub will be relocated from Town Hall to the corner of Robertson Street and Queen Street. Route A and B will avoid the Augusta Street closure, but no stops will be affected.
Transit service on Saturday has been extended to accommodate the event. Transit Service will be available on Saturday, June 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A reminder that bus routes A and B are free during the Walton Street Reconstruction. Please consider leaving your car at home and walking, biking or taking the bus to downtown. For more details on bus routes, please view our interactive transit map.
