Filming Activities on Walton and Mill Streets – March 2
Reaper’s Image Productions – the production company that filmed here in spring 2023 - is returning to Port Hope to film more scenes for the upcoming project, “Greetings from Fairview”. The production company has now fulfilled the requirements and conditions for film permitting, and the Municipality is issuing a film permit, which includes road closures for this production.
Please note the filming schedule: filming is scheduled to take place in the downtown core beginning at 7:00 p.m. on March 2, overnight until 5:00 a.m. on March 3.
Road closures and traffic stops
- Walton Street (from Mill Street to Ontario Street) and
Mill Street (from Barrett Street to Peter Street)- Intermittent pedestrian delays: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- Full road closure: 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
- Intermittent traffic stops: 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- Robertson Street (from Queen Street to Mill Street)
- Intermittent pedestrian delays: 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- Intermittent traffic stops: 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Parking impacts
Please note that parking will be restricted in the designated filming zones along Walton Street (from Mill Street to Ontario Street) and Mill Street (from Barrett Street to Peter Street). Parking restrictions will begin starting at 4:00 p.m., in preparation for filming activities beginning at 7:00 p.m. During the day on March 2, street parking in the designated areas of Walton St. will be available for short duration only.
Alternative Parking
If you are visiting the downtown on Saturday, March 2, consider using the following parking locations:
- Municipal parking lots: Town Hall, Elias Street lots, Cavan Street parking lot
- Street parking: Queen Street, Augusta Street, John Street, Upper Walton Street, and parking on surrounding residential streets.
Please note that the former Lakeland Place parking lot at 74 Queen Street and the parking lot at 5 Mill Street South will not be available for public parking as it has been reserved for use by the Production company.

Set-up
Set dressing will be taking place throughout the week at various businesses downtown and will also include road signage installations, replacements and/or removal.
Additional information and reminders
- Road closure signage was installed earlier this week (around the impacted area) advising of these closures.
- All above times are subject to change. Residents and visitors will be made aware of major changes as they occur.
- Filming events are interesting and exciting for many, but please do not impede the work being completed.
