Filming Activities – June 21

Reaper’s Image Productions is expected back in Port Hope next week to film more scenes for “Fairview” on June 21, 2024. Filming will be taking place in the area of the municipal Development Team Office (5 Mill Street South) and at a private residence on Bruton Street.

Set dressing will be taking place on Mill Street South on June 19 and 20 and takedown will occur on June 24 and 25. These activities will require the temporary occupation of sidewalks on Mill Street. The production is expected to maintain a clearance of 1.2 metres on sidewalks whenever possible.

Film crews will be working between two locations throughout the day on June 21:

5 Mill Street South

• The Development Team Office will be closed on June 21. Staff will be working remotely or at other municipal buildings to maintain our typical service levels. Staff can be reached by email. See the contact page on our website to email staff in Building, By-law, Transit, Economic Development, and Planning divisions.
• Intermittent traffic control will be in place from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from the Walton Street and Mill Street intersection to just beyond Captain George’s Fish and Chips. The film crew is mandated to hold traffic for 3 minutes or less to complete their scenes and keep traffic moving.

Bruton Street – Private Residence

• Road Closure: Bruton Street (from Bramley Street to Julia Street) will be closed from 7:00 a.m. on June 21 to 1:00 a.m. on June 22.
• Lane closure: Bruton Street (from Julia Street to Pine Street North) will be reduced to one lane and traffic control will be in place.
• The night scenes may include the use of bright lights and some fog effect.
• Affected residents in the area will be/have been notified via a hand delivered letter.
