Filming Activities at Lakeshore Road and Town Hall – March 22
The following details are under review pending the issuance of a film permit.
Reaper’s Image Productions is expected back in Port Hope on March 22 to film more scenes for their upcoming project, “Greetings from Fairview”. Please be advised of the following impacts:
Day filming
The production company has rented the Council Chambers in Town Hall on March 21 and 22. During these dates, residents can expect film equipment outside of Town Hall and a higher volume of activity in and around Town Hall. during this period, our services to residents remain uninterrupted.
The production company has rented the Elias Street parking lots from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on March 22, potentially limiting parking availability. To alleviate this, all street parking in the Downtown will be free on March 22 (courtesy of the production company). Town Hall parking lot will remain open for public use.
Night filming
Lakeshore Road (between Brand Road and Strachan Street) will be closed on March 22 beginning at 5:00 p.m. and continuing overnight until 2:00 a.m. During this time, on-street parking is not permitted in the filming area. To navigate through the affected area, please use an alternative route or follow the detour route as indicated by posted signs (Wesleyville Road to County Road 2).
In the designated filming zone, residents may notice temporary set dressings, including winter scene effects. Permission has been obtained to temporarily remove certain regulatory road signs along Lakeshore Road during filming activities.
Impacted residents in the area have been or will shortly be notified via a resident letter. For more information about filming in Port Hope, visit our filming webpage.
