Easter Holiday Closures

Residents are advised of the following impacts to services due to the upcoming Easter Holiday. 

Administrative building closures:

Municipal administrative buildings are closed on Friday, March 29 and Monday, April 1, 2024.

For urgent services related to water or roads, call 905-885-2431 and press * to reach our after-hours emergency line.

Transit service impacts:

Municipal Transit service will run on a modified schedule for the holiday weekend.

• Friday, March 29 - no transit service
• Saturday, March 30 - standard Saturday hours
• Sunday, March 31 - no service on Sundays
• Monday, April 1 - reduced schedule (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

Transfer Station

The Hope Transfer Station will be closed on Friday, March 29 and will resume standard hours on Saturday, March 30. 

Recreation Facilities

Municipal recreation facilities and programs will be operating on a modified schedule through the weekend. 

Jack Burger Sports Complex

• Friday, March 29 - Arena closed, pool 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Saturday, March 30 - Standard Saturday hours
• Sunday, March 31- Arena open, pool 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Monday, April 1 - Standard Monday hours

Town Park Recreation Centre

• Friday, March 29 - Closed
• Saturday, March 30 - Standard Saturday hours
• Sunday, March 31 - Closed
• Monday, April 1 - Standard Monday hours

Port Hope Public Library

The Port Hope Public Library is operating on a revised schedule for both the Mary J. Benson and the Hub branch: 

• Friday, March 29 - Closed
• Saturday, March 30 - Standard Saturday hours
• Sunday, March 31 - Closed
• Monday, April 1 - Closed

All above services will resume on Tuesday, April 2 at their usual operating hours.
