Caroline Street Rink Reservations Update

Reservations by phone – Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• Each week, reservations for skate times will open on Thursdays for bookings by phone.
  
  
• You may call municipal staff at 905-885-2474 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. for skating timeslots available from Sunday to Saturday.
  
  
• Phone messages will not be accepted as a booked spot. Participants must call and confirm a reservation with a staff member on the line. 
  
  
• Please note that due to high call volumes you may need to try the number more than once. Staff are working efficiently to answer calls and book reservations. 
  
  
• Reservations are open to Northumberland County residents only.
  
  

• Each person skating must have a reservation in their own name. For example, if four of your family members will be skating, all four people must have a reservation to ensure proper contact tracing. One registration does not reserve a family or group of friends. 

Online reservations – Thursdays beginning at 3:00 p.m.

• Online reservations for skate times will open after the reservations by phone closes on Thursdays at 3:00 p.m. for any timeslots still available from Sunday to Saturday. 
  
  

• If you have ever had lessons or facility bookings with us in the past, please do not create a new account as you will already have an existing account. To recover your password information, use the "forgot password" option. This is important to ensure all family members are registered for online reservations. New account requests will now be pre-approved by staff. Please allow 24 hours processing time. 
  
  

• Reservations are open to Northumberland County residents only.

Skating times and rules

• Skating is available at the Caroline Street Rink Monday to Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. No drop-ins are permitted. 
  
  
• Reservations are booked in 45-minute timeslots to stagger participants and allow for one group to leave the rink area before the next group arrives for their reserved timeslot. 
  
  
• Staff will be onsite to check-in all reserved participants and to complete COVID-19 screening. 

 Ice safety

• The ice surface is reduced in size and has a 10-person maximum limit per timeslot. 
  
  
• Participants are reminded that they must abide by all safety protocols, including physical distancing practices.
  
  
• All participants must wear a face mask/covering while on the ice.
  
  
• Hockey sticks and pucks are permitted, however games of hockey are not. 
  
  
• Please note that the ice will only be available based on weather conditions. If the ice surface needs to be closed, participants with upcoming reservations will receive a cancellation email. This may be on short notice, but we thank you for your patience and understanding.

Cancellations or reservation changes

If you need to adjust or cancel your reservation, please email us as soon as possible. Be courteous, not showing for your reserved time is restricting others from taking your time slot.
