Burn Ban in Effect - Wednesday, June 7

Residents are advised that Fire Services across Northumberland County have lifted the Total Burn Ban effective Tuesday, June 13 at 8:00 a.m. Remember, a Burn Permit is required for open air burning in the rural area of The Municipality of Port Hope. Open-air burning is prohibited within the Urban area. With recent significant rainfall and an improvement of air quality, the risks are low.
Residents are advised that Fire Services across Northumberland County have initiated a Total Burn Ban effective tomorrow morning (Wednesday, June 7) at 8:00 a.m., until further notice. Burning is prohibited throughout the Municipality of Port Hope, even with a burn permit. This Burn Ban will remain in effect until dry conditions and air quality improves.
