Annual Roads Resurfacing Program Begins
Residents are advised that our annual roads resurfacing program begins this week. This annual capital project protects our road infrastructure and addresses any paving issues in both the urban and rural areas. Each municipal road is rated as good, fair, poor, or very poor based on the quality of the road surface. The road paving schedule is prioritized based on this rating system.
Work is set to begin on May 13 (weather dependent) to October 1, 2024, on the following roads:
- 4th Line: County Road 65 to the Clarington boundary
- 5th Line: County Road 65 to the Clarington boundary
- 5th Line: Barrie Road to the Waste Transfer Station
- Mastwoods Road: County Road 65 to 2.25km
- Jamieson Road: 6th Line to the 7th Line
- Tinkerville Road: Ganaraska Road to the dead end
During this time, there may be delays, lane closures and intermittent road closures. Check our website or subscribe to Municipal 511 for updates. We apologize and understand the inconvenience and thank residents for their cooperation during this important annual project.
