Residents are advised that the Municipality of Port Hope will be participating in an emergency exercise on Thursday, December 1, 2022, to practice emergency management protocols, train staff and test emergency systems. The exercise will be taking place adjacent to the Cameco facility near the intersection of Choate Street and Marsh Street.
Municipal staff will be working alongside community partners including the Port Hope Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police, Ambulance and Paramedic Services, Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services, and members of Cameco.
This emergency exercise is part of an annual program to ensure emergency preparedness and response within the Municipality of Port Hope and to establish compliance with Provincial guidelines.
