Additional Information for Special Council Meeting – June 29, 2023
Residents are advised that the agenda has been published for the Special Council Meeting scheduled for June 29, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. At this meeting, Council will consider a staff report and the Heritage Permit Application for Demolition filed for the property at 65 Ward Street.

The agenda is subject to alteration and adjustment. The Staff report is being finalized and will be posted on the agenda on Monday, June 26, 2023.
A reminder that the decision before Council and the focus of their discussions is solely regarding the Heritage Permit Application for Demolition.
The agenda includes delegation submissions and public comments / verbal submissions:
- Delegation submissions for the meeting must be received no later than June 27 at 4:30 p.m. No delegation submissions will be accepted after this deadline.
- Verbal submissions provides an opportunity for residents to ask questions of Council or provide brief comments on the item(s) being considered. Verbal submissions may be limited to two minutes to allow for all residents to have an opportunity to speak.
A reminder that there are a variety of ways to reach members of Council, including by email. Speaking at the Council Meeting is not a requirement for your concerns to be considered by Councillors. You can visit porthope.ca/council to contact your Councillor or the Mayor’s office.
Meeting location information
The meeting is being held in Council Chambers at Town Hall. While this location presents capacity limitations, it meets audio and visual as well as accessibility requirements for the meeting and allows for the meeting to be live streamed over our YouTube channel.
Due to fire code regulations, seating will be limited. Those not wishing to speak at the meeting are strongly encouraged to watch the meeting online, if possible. The recording of the meeting will also be available on the YouTube Channel and on the Council web page following the meeting.
