Cenotaph Monogrammed Paver Stones Program
The revitalization of the Port Hope Memorial Park Cenotaph will continue to support the work of recognizing and honouring Veterans and current Armed Forces members. The Port Hope Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is a strong supporter of the revitalization of the memorial, and the Municipality worked closely with them to complete the project in 2020. Monogrammed Paver Stones are still available for purchase as contributions toward this project.
The Canton Cenotaph was initially constructed in 1989 on the grounds of the Canton Municipal Building. During that time a Cenotaph Committee was established by the Municipality of Port Hope to be responsible for maintaining the Cenotaph as a lasting memorial recognizing all Veterans, from all Canadian and world conflicts regardless of country of origin. Monogrammed Paver Stones are still available for purchase as contributions toward this project.
