Winter Parking Restrictions Begin December 1
Winter parking restrictions take effect on December 1 and continue through the winter until March 15. This means there is no on-street parking permitted on snow routes from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. This is in effect so that our snowplows can clear the streets safely, when required.
Here are additional useful winter tips:
- According to our By-law, residents are required to clear sidewalks of snow and ice within 48 hours after the storm starts. Please don't shovel the snow onto the street as that can create a hazard.
- Whenever possible, please refrain from parking on the streets during snowfalls. This helps municipal staff clear the streets more efficiently.
- We have 680 lane kilometers of roads to clear of snow and ice. Your patience is greatly appreciated while our staff is at work.
