Updated June 16, 2022
The anticipated three day closure of the intersection at Pine and Walton Streets has been extended. The closure will remain in effect for approximately seven days. The extended closure is a result of unforeseen watermain issues.
Residents are advised that the intersection of Pine Street and Walton Street will be closed beginning Wednesday, June 15, 2022, as part of Phase 1 of the Walton Street Reconstruction Project. This intersection is scheduled to be closed for three days.
Please follow the detour routes marked on the roadways, and plan to take alternate routes to avoid Walton Street between Church Street and Pine Street, while construction is ongoing.
Transit impacts
Please note that Transit Route A will be affected by this closure. The bus will not be stopping at stop A34. Instead, the bus will turn north on Cavan Street, continue west onto South Street and tie back into Pine Street.
