Public engagement is now underway for the upcoming Economic Development Strategic Plan. This plan will provide guidance to retain and attract new investment, job creation, and wealth generation in Port Hope over the next five to 10 years. The Municipality is offering the opportunity for residents, entrepreneurs, etc. to engage and offer their insight into the development of this strategic plan.
In May 2022, the Municipality contracted Mellor Murray Consulting Ltd. for the Economic Development Strategic Plan. Feedback will be collected through a survey for a total of three weeks and is open to the public to participate. Once this engagement period has concluded, all data will be collected, reviewed, and presented to Council. This is an opportunity for the community to share their insight and contribute to a strategy that is reflective of the future of Port Hope.
