Resources for residents and business owners looking for information on current filming projects, health and safety, questions or concerns, how to register a property for filming, or filming on your private property. Economic Development staff are available to answer any inquiries regarding filming occurrences.
2024 Filming Projects in Port Hope
July 21 and 22 - Filming will be taking place on a private property on King Street. This filming will be completed with a drone that will stay above the property to capture aerial images. This shoot will involve a small film crew and impact on the surrounding residents, business, and roadways will be minimal.
Health and Safety
The health and safety of cast, crew and the community are of critical importance throughout the duration of filming. Municipal staff will be onsite throughout the duration of filming on Municipal property and roads.
Questions or Concerns
Residents and business owners may have inquiries regarding film details. If there are any concerns regarding traffic, access, etc. any inquiries may be directed to the Film Liaison.
Filming on your Property
Residents are welcome to list their properties as potential filming locations. These locations are regularly scouted by production teams and may be chosen to appear in film and television productions. Any negotiations between property owners and film companies are conducted do not involve the Municipality.
Looking to Register your Property for Filming?
The Ontario Film Commission allows property owners to list their homes and properties for use as filming locations. Creating a listing in the Digital Library will allow Location Managers to choose your property to appear in film and television.
