Waterfront Trail Partial Closure – Shoreline Erosion Protection

Residents are advised that a small section (25 metres) of the Waterfront Trail will be closed beginning Monday, February 13 for approximately six weeks. This work is being completed as part of the Lake Street Shoreline Protection Project and will include a new armour stone revetment and repairs to a portion of the waterfront trail that runs along the top of the bank.

Town Park Recreation Centre Closure - February 8

Residents are advised that Town Park Recreation Centre (TPRC) will be closed beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 to accommodate a gas line tie-in for the TPRC expansion project. Evening programs should not be affected by this closure. We appreciate your patience through this exciting expansion project.

2023 Proposed Budget to be Presented to Council on February 7

The Finance Committee concluded their budget meetings yesterday, February 2, after two days of public deliberations. A by-law to adopt the 2023 Capital and Operating Budget will be presented at the next regular Council meeting on February 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. The meeting will also be live streamed on the municipal YouTube Channel.
