Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Residents on Lakeshore Road

Residents are advised that the precautionary Boil Water Advisory that was issued on Thursday, June 29 has now been lifted (July 1, 2023). Working in conjunction with the HKPR Health Unit, all follow-up tests have returned negative. Municipal Staff have consulted with the Health Unit and they have advised the water is safe to consume. This advisory affected a limited number of homes on Lakeshore Road between Shortt Street and Strachan Street.

At a Special Meeting this evening, Council for the Municipality of Port Hope voted to deny the Heritage Alteration Permit Application for Demolition filed by the property owner for the buildings located at 65 Ward Street.

Precautionary Notice to Boil Water in Isolated Section of Port Hope

Residents are advised that a Boil Water Advisory has been issued to a limited number of homes on Lakeshore Road between Shortt Street and Strachan Street. Working in conjunction with the HKPR Health Unit, it was decided that a Boil Water Advisory was a precautionary step to protect the health and safety of residents in this area.

Brewery Lane Closure Notice

Residents are advised that Brewery Lane will be fully closed beginning July 10, 2023, to complete structural repairs to the adjacent private building. This closure is anticipated to last until September 8, 2023, weather dependent.
Alternative parking during this construction is available in municipal lots, subject to availability.
