As the fundraising campaign for the Town Park Recreation Centre (TPRC) continues this summer, the Municipality of Port Hope is pleased to announce a generous donation from the former Ruth Clarke Activity Centre (RCAC) for Seniors Board, who have worked closely with staff on the vision for this project. Water Service Shut off for Water Infrastructure upgrade

Residents are advised that the Water Division will be completing water infrastructure upgrades on Thursday, July 20. This work requires water shut-off to approximately 50 residential homes between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Affected area includes:
- Little Hope Street
- Ridout Street
- Sullivan Street
- Julia Street

Municipality of Port Hope Appoints Brian Gilmer Interim Chief Administrative Officer

Today, Council for the Municipality of Port Hope announced that Brian Gilmer has been appointed interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Brian is currently the Municipality’s Director of Corporate Services / Clerk and will serve as CAO throughout the recruitment process to fill the permanent position.

It has been announced that the Screen Actors’ Guild—American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) are officially on strike as of 12:01 a.m. July 14. The labour negotiations between SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers have been ongoing. With this announcement, the anticipated filming activities for next week have been postponed. We will provide updates when more information is available.
