Special Council Meeting - November 15

Residents are advised that a Special Meeting of Council will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. for Council to consider the 2024 Community Grant submissions.
Council at their regular Council meeting held on July 4, 2023 passed Resolution 38/2023 where Council reassumed the responsibility of reviewing and approving Community Grants.
At the Meeting, Council Members will review and consider the 2024 Community Grant submissions and provided feedback and recommendations to staff.

Development Team Office Closure – November 7

Residents are advised that the Development Team Office (5 Mill Street, South) will be closed to the public on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, to accommodate the replacement of the rooftop HVAC unit. A large crane will be on site and, for the safety of the public and staff, the parking lot and building will be inaccessible. This project was included in the 2023 Budget to improve aging building components.
Transit busses will not be affected by this closure.

Fire Department Receives Superior Water Tanker Shuttle Accreditation

The Municipality of Port Hope is pleased to announce that the Fire and Emergency Services Division has once again received Superior Tanker Shuttle Accreditation for both residential and industrial level service. The accreditation program, under the Fire Protection Survey Services, recognizes a fire department's ability to shuttle water with tanker trucks to fight fires in areas far away from municipal fire hydrants.

Temporary Transit Service Delays

Update 10/27 at 4:00 p.m. - Normal Transit Service will resume at 5:00 p.m.
Residents are advised that Transit Services will be delayed today due to mechanical issues on two of the buses. The remaining bus will be servicing all three routes (Route A, Route B, and the Express Cobourg Shuttle). We appreciate your patience as staff work to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Updates will be posted on the transit webpage as they become available.
