The flags at Town Hall and the fire stations are lowered to the half mast position today (Sunday, April 16, 2023), in honour of Edrick “Ed” Coull, who passed away on April 1, 2023.
Ed was a long-serving and dedicated Firefighter in our community. He originally joined the Hope Township Fire Service in 1979 and served as Chief in 1991. 2023 'Mayors' Keep the County Clean' Challenge

Northumberland County has once again called on each municipality to participate in the ‘Mayors’ Keep the County Clean’ challenge – a friendly week-long litter clean-up event beginning April 17, 2023.
Litter clean-up can take place in our public spaces, including at the beaches, along the Ganaraska River paths, on our trails, at our parks and other green spaces.

A new specialized transit service has hit the road in Port Hope, with the expansion of the Municipality’s ROLLS program into the rural area of the community.

Port Hope Receives Funding In Response to 2022 Severe Weather Events

The Municipality of Port Hope is pleased to share that we are the successful recipient of funding from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in the amount of $40,000 for debris clean up and tree re-planting as a result of the significant weather-related events that impacted the Municipality in 2022.
