Pride Flag Raised at Town Hall

Today marks the start of Pride Month in Canada.

This year, this Municipality of Port Hope is flying the Progress Pride flag at Town Hall throughout the month of June.

The Progress Pride flag features the six traditional rainbow stripes as well as a chevron with the pink, light blue, and white stripes of the Transgender Pride flag, which was designed 1999. Summer Recreation Registration

Registration is now open for our summer recreation programs. You can register online, over the phone, or in person for fitness classes, swimming lessons, and aquatics classes.

Aquatics

Registration is now open until June 29, 2022. Summer aquatics programming runs from July 4 to August 26, with the exception of Aqua Fit and Aqua Easy which runs July 4 to September 2, 2022.

Fitness

Walton Street Reconstruction Update

Residents are advised that Church Street will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, May 26, 2022, to address water main access in preparation for the start of Phase 1 of the Walton Street reconstruction project. Port Hope Fire Chief Announces his Departure

Port Hope Fire Chief Dan Smith has announced he will be leaving his post as Fire Chief and Director, Protective Services. Chief Smith has accepted a position with the City of Belleville Fire Department as Deputy Chief, Community Risk and Strategic Projects. His last day with the Municipality of Port Hope will be Friday, May 27, 2022.
