The Municipality of Port Hope is proud to officially unveil its first-ever rainbow crosswalk to celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion in the community. The Mayor, Members of Council, and staff will take part in the official ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 1 at 11:00 a.m.
Join us as we kick off the start of Pride Month with the official ribbon cutting ceremony and raising of the Progress Pride Flag at Town Hall.

Filming continues in Port Hope for the production “Greetings from Fairview” taking place on Walton Street, Queen Street, Mill Street South, Augusta Street and in some residential areas. Residents can continue to expect temporary parking impacts, road closures and intermittent traffic stops that may cause delays. Pedestrian traffic and storefront access will be maintained.

Fire and Emergency Services Donates Fire Fighting Equipment to Firefighters Without Borders Canada

Today, members of Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services met with Carl Eggiman, the Ontario representative for Firefighters Without Borders Canada, at Fire Station 2 in Welcome to donate hundreds of items of used firefighting equipment to Firefighters Without Borders Canada, an organization that provides firefighting equipment to departments in need around the world.
