Initial Project Description submitted for New Nuclear project at Wesleyville Site in Port Hope

The Municipality of Port Hope is sharing that Ontario Power Generation (OPG) has submitted its Initial Project Description (IPD) for the proposed New Nuclear project at the Wesleyville site in Port Hope to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC). Please be advised that Victoria Street South, from Strachan Street to Sherbourne Street, is closed on January 12, 2026, as we address a watermain break in the area. Local traffic will have access to their properties but please avoid the area, if possible.
