A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
At this meeting, Council members will receive a staff report regarding proposed changes to the Taxi Licensing and Regulating By-law. The report will identify changes that will provide benefits to the existing local Taxi industry, while also opening up opportunities for additional ridesharing / vehicle for hire options subject to market demands.

The flags at Town Hall have been lowered to the half-mast position today and throughout the weekend to honour the passing of former Fire Chief, Frank Haylow who passed on Sunday, March 31, 2024. The celebration of life will be held this Sunday, May 26.
Chief Haylow dedicated over four decades of his life to fire service and public safety, serving the Port Hope community as Fire Chief from 2003 to 2008. He was Port Hope's first full-time Fire Chief upon amalgamation.
