Temporary Transit Service Outage - Cobourg Shuttle

Update: 11:00 a.m.: Regular Service on the Express Cobourg Shuttle has resumed.
Residents are advised that the Express Cobourg Shuttle bus is temporarily out of service due to a mechanical issue. Staff are working to resolve the issue and hope to have service resume at 12:00 p.m.
The in-town routes A and B in Port Hope are not affected. Updates will be posted on the Transit web page as they are available.

Walton Street Reconstruction (Phase 3) Public Information Centre – March 25, 2025

Please be advised that the Public Information Centre for the Walton Street Reconstruction Project (Phase 3) will be held on March 25, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall (56 Queen Street) in the Council Chambers.

Half-Load Restrictions Begin on Municipal Roads

During the spring thaw, most rural roads become too soft to withstand the weight of a fully loaded truck, regardless of the number of axles.
To reduce damage to our roads during this time of year, weight restrictions of five tonnes per axle (half-loads) on all rural roads within the Municipality of Port Hope are imposed from March 3 to April 30, 2025.
The restriction timeline may be altered as conditions are monitored.
