Weekend Road Closures: June 3 to 5

Residents are advised of the following road closures expected this weekend to accommodate the various events being held in the Municipality.
Special Olympics Torch RunBeginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 3 the Special Olympics Torch Run will be taking place from Toronto Road, to the downtown area, to Peter Street. Fire and Police escorts will be present and there may be minor traffic delays.

Pride Flag Raised at Town Hall

Today marks the start of Pride Month in Canada.
This year, this Municipality of Port Hope is flying the Progress Pride flag at Town Hall throughout the month of June.
The Progress Pride flag features the six traditional rainbow stripes as well as a chevron with the pink, light blue, and white stripes of the Transgender Pride flag, which was designed 1999. Summer Recreation Registration

Registration is now open for our summer recreation programs. You can register online, over the phone, or in person for fitness classes, swimming lessons, and aquatics classes.
AquaticsRegistration is now open until June 29, 2022. Summer aquatics programming runs from July 4 to August 26, with the exception of Aqua Fit and Aqua Easy which runs July 4 to September 2, 2022.

Clean up and power restoration as a result of last weekend’s windstorm across much of Ontario is ongoing in our community and throughout the province.

Walton Street Reconstruction Update

Residents are advised that Church Street will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, May 26, 2022, to address water main access in preparation for the start of Phase 1 of the Walton Street reconstruction project. Water will be shut off for some residents in the area. Notice is being provided to residents impacted by the water shut off.
