Residents are advised of the following winter storm updates:
- The Municipality is aware of wind damage to buildings throughout the community, including damage to municipal infrastructure.
- There has been significant roof damage to the Water Treatment Plant at 35 Marsh Street. There is no impact to the drinking water system and staff are taking steps to repair the damage when safe to do so. Staff will also be on site 24/7 to maintain operations as necessary.

Recreation Facilities Closure - December 23, 2023

Residents are advised that due to the increasing weather conditions, the Town Park Recreation Centre and the Jack Burger Sports Complex will be closed for the remainder of the day. Staff are notifying registered program participants and user groups.

Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for our region, expected late this week and into the holiday weekend. It is likely that heavy amounts of precipitation, flash freezing temperatures and high winds will occur.
Residents are reminded to be prepared for winter storms and power outages, which should include a plan and sufficient supplies to last for a minimum of 72 hours. Visit our emergency preparedness webpage for more information and suggestions on how you can prepare.
