Sediment Removal at the Fish Ladder

We have been advised that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry will be conducting sediment removal at Corbett’s Dam (the Fish Ladder) to improve fish passage at the Ganaraska fishway.
This work has begun and will take place over the course of approximately seven days. It will involve the use of an excavator to remove the sediment that has deposited over several years at the upstream end of the fishway. Temporary Transit Service Outage - Cobourg Shuttle

Residents are advised that the Express Cobourg Shuttle bus is temporarily out of service due to a malfunction. Staff are working to resolve the issue. The routes in Port Hope are not affected. Updates will be posted on the Transit web page as they are available.
Power Outage: Facility Closures

Update 7/18/22 at 10:30 – Power has been restored at Town Hall and the Development Team Office (5 Mill). These buildings are now open for all regular services.
Residents are advised that some of the downtown core is experiencing a power outage. As a result, Townhall and the Development Team Office (5 Mill) is closed as power, phone lines and IT services are down. At this time, we do not have an estimated timeframe for service restoration. We will provide updates when they are available.
