Our Voter Assistance Centres are open today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. They’re located at Town Hall (56 Queen Street) and the Port Hope Community Hub (5325 County Road 10).

As we head into the last weekend of voting, we’d like to remind residents that there’s still time to learn about your candidates and cast your ballot in the municipal and school board election.
Over the last several months, our election team has been dedicated to election promotions. Staff have carried out an extensive election awareness campaign to inform voters about how and when to vote and how to seek help in the voting process.

The results of the 2022 municipal and school board election will be posted on election night, Monday, October 24, 2022, online at porthopevotes.ca and simultaneously announced in-person at the Capitol Theatre.

Trail Closure - October 17 to 28

Residents are advised that a portion of the Cochingomink Trail from behind the Library to Walton Street, will be closed from October 17 to 28, 2022. This closure is to accommodate Elexicon Energy as they excavate and replace poles in the area. Pedestrians will need to walk along Queen Street to Walton Street to by-pass this closure.

Residents are reminded that the voting period for the 2022 Municipal and School Board election is officially open.
Those who have not received a Voter Instruction Letter can still be added to the Voters’ List. Email the election team or call 905-885-4544 ext. 0
The voting period is open from October 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. until October 24, 2022, until 8:00 p.m.
