Christmas Tree Disposal

Residents are advised that Christmas tree disposal will take place in the Municipality the week of January 8, 2024.
Urban Residents- Please ensure that all nails, metal bases, ornaments, lights, and other decorations are removed from your tree
- Place your bare Christmas tree at your curbside on or before Monday, January 8, 2024
- If you live within the Williamsport Condo Corp. (Fenton Lane, Shortreed Lane, Potts Lane) please bring your tree to Strachan Street for pickup

2023 Municipal Holiday Hours

Administrative office holiday hours will take effect beginning on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at their regular office hours.
During this time, the following municipal administrative offices will remain closed and administrative staff services will not be available:
- Town Hall (56 Queen Street)
- Development Team Office (5 Mill Street South)
- Fire Administration Office (245 Ontario Street)

Temporary Road and Trail Closures - Lake Street

Work on the relining of the wastewater outfall pipe, a critical sewer project, has begun in the area of Lake Street. To complete this work, a small portion of Lake Street, close to the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and a portion of the Waterfront Trail, adjacent to the Sculthorpe Marsh, is closed until the end of 2023.

Brief Closure of Municipal Administrative Buildings

Residents are advised that municipal administrative buildings will be closed for a brief period on Thursday, December 7, 2023 for a corporate event. Buildings will close at 10:00 a.m. and reopen at 12:00 p.m. Programming at the Jack Burger Sport Complex is not affected by this closure.
